Brief Description
The PURE course is an innovative, one-day workshop focused on hands-on training in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for pediatric critical care. This immersive experience combines core application teaching with realistic simulation scenarios to enhance clinical skills. The morning session will focus on hands on scanning of the following ultrasound applications, including cardiac assessment, lung and airway evaluation, eFAST, and vascular access in pediatric patients. The afternoon session includes clinical scenarios (low and high-fidelity simulation) that seamlessly integrate POCUS into Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) cases. Participants can apply their newly acquired skills in dynamic, high-stakes situations, reinforcing the critical role of ultrasound in pediatric emergency care.

Learning Objectives
Develop skills in pediatric Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) techniques for image acquisition and interpretation the following applications: airway, lung, cardiac, FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) and vascular access.
Acquire knowledge of the differences in sonographic anatomy between pediatric and adult patients, focusing on physiological variations, image interpretation, and adaptations in scanning techniques.
Understand the integration of POCUS in the resuscitation and management of critically ill pediatric patients, focusing on its role in decision-making and clinical outcomes.
